The Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) reported that the “Women’s Hospital”, which is currently located in North Peripheral Ring 430, it will change its headquarters next month, within the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara.
In a statement, he reported that the change of location “is due to the need to have a larger unit that contributes to the reduction of maternal mortality and follow the standards of quality and improvement of care processes, for which a space with greater bed capacity and with all the requirements that guarantee the protection of pregnant women and newborns is necessary.”
The “Women’s Hospital” will be relocated to the facilities of the new Maternal and Child Hospital of San Martín de las Flores (HMISMF), Municipality of Tlaquepaque, which is located in a space to cover the population of El Salto, Tlaquepaque and Tonalá.
He added that will offer services that you do not currently have: greater number of beds, outpatient clinics, laboratory expansion, emergencies, expulsive areas, operating rooms with the required regulations, mammography and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The substitution, it is indicated in the document, “will benefit more than 228 thousand 806 women and girls of the metropolis, and will provide care in accordance with current standards, with better quality and warmth than that which was being provided in the previous hospital”.
“The relocation also obeys the Sustainable Development Indicators of the Pan American Health Organization, to capture the greatest number of women in an early stage of pregnancy or prior to it, to timely detect risk situations during pregnancy.
This project, he points out, also contemplates the training and updating of personnel, as well as the implementation of the “Gold Code” to standardize actions and improve their response capacity to obstetric emergencies.
