Gardaí seized €2250,000 in cash and arrested a man after a search in Dublin today.

At around 12.45pm, Gardaí stopped and searched a car at Lombard Street East, Dublin 2. During the search, 250,000 euros in cash were discovered in the vehicle.

A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station where he is currently being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The investigations are ongoing.
