Several supermarket chains are removing various types of pancakes from the shelves because they may contain metal. These are pancakes from Albert Heijn, Coop and Plus.
Albert Heijn sells Brabant pancakes with and without raisins (best before January 30th), spelled pancakes and mini pancakes that can be stored until February 3rd. Plus is free range pancakes that can be stored until February 4th.
Coop warns against free-range raisin pancakes, white pancakes and giant pancakes, which can also be kept until February 4th. A piece of iron wire was found in one of the cakes.
The supermarket chains are calling for the products not to be consumed, but to be brought back to the store. Customers can get their money back there.
