The new equipment level of the Cupra Leon VZ Cup expands the already relatively extensive equipment of the powerful car with a special character with some new components in the interior and exterior, thanks to which it should look even more extraordinary.
One of the key landmarks is found in the interior, where the automaker has installed new cup-bucket seats upholstered in genuine leather in shades of black or blue teal. The seats, which first appeared in the Formentor VZ5 model, offer better lateral support and are said to be more comfortable.
It is worth noting the back panel of the seats, made of a special carbon composite panel, or their placement in the cabin. Thanks to the low position, the seats leave maximum space and enable more economical sitting, which is very important for sports cars.
An equally interesting novelty is the specific Cupra sports steering wheel with ergonomically designed and positioned controls for starting the engine and quickly activating the Cupra mode. The modern and at the same time sporty atmosphere in the interior is further enhanced by the decorative stitching on the dashboard in copper, but also in black or blue-petrol tones.
The car manufacturer also played with the exterior. The five-door model received a carbon-composite rear spoiler with a copper cover, which, in addition to an interesting aesthetic concept, also optimizes the flow around the vehicle and minimizes turbulence.
The attractiveness of the car is also underlined by the dark aluminum side skirt trim, on request the car can also be equipped with carbon composite mirror caps with copper bezels. The underbody comes standard with 19″ light-alloy wheels with a partially copper-plated surface. In addition, optional Bridgestone sports tires can be mounted on the wheels.
The new Cupra Leon VZ Cup comes with a wide range of engines, including petrol 2.0 TSI 228 kW DSG 4Drive (Sportstourer), 2.0 TSI 221 kW, 2.0 TSI 180 kW and electrified drive units 2.0 TSI 180 kW e-Hybrid. Production of the Cupra Leon VZ Cup started this week and the first customers will see their cars in March this year.
