Hospitals are now being asked to treat more patients at home. Unpublished figures from the Dutch Medical Technology Industry Federation (FHI) show that there were 11,200 patients at home in the last sixteen months of the pandemic. The total number of home patients is likely to be a few thousand higher because there are no figures for the first eight months of the pandemic, despite repeated requests. At the peak of the pandemic, nearly 500 home patients were added each week. Currently there are about 1760.
