Diabetes: Treating blood sugar involves eggs – Archyde

On that previous occasion, researchers had found that eating an egg daily increased the overall risk of type 2 diabetes by about 60 percent.

The conclusions come from a 20-year study that followed nearly 57,000 men and women.

In women, the risk increased by 77 percent, while eating just one egg per week did not confer an increased risk.

Diabetes UK said: “Diabetes UK recommends that people eat a healthy, balanced diet low in fat, salt and sugar and high in fruit and vegetables to reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
