Radan Dolejš has died – Novinky.cz – World

Dolejš was born on April 9, 1964 and graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University with majors in Czech and history. He also studied at the Jaroslav Ježek People’s Conservatory. Since September 2017 he has been teaching history and modern popular music at the Prague Conservatory. Dolejš is the author and co-author of several books, especially those related to Jan Werich and Jiří Voskovec.

From 1998 to 2009 he worked as a playwright, screenwriter and director of mainly entertainment programs at TV Nova, from 2003 to 2007 at TV Prima and from 2002 to the present at Czech Television, where he was also the managing director of ČT1 for some time. For example, he wrote screenplays for annual concerts or the announcement of various surveys.

According to the iDnes server, Dolejš suffered from long-term health problems. Last year he was in a coma after leg surgery that left him suffering from sepsis.
