COVID: Peak of infections in Jalisco is close to four thousand per day


With 3,688 confirmed infections in the last 24 hours registered in the Radar Jalisco system, the entity reached a new maximum number of COVID-19 cases. The accumulated number of cases since the pandemic began in the entity is 447,330 infections.

20 deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 virus were also confirmed. So far in 2022 there are 197 deaths.

In the almost two years of the health contingency, there have been 17,829 fatalities due to the coronavirus at the state level.

In the technical statement from the federal Ministry of Health, it was realized that there are 11,930 active cases. In this sense, it is decreasing: yesterday there were 11 thousand 991 and the day before yesterday 12 thousand 27 active.

Regarding hospital occupancy levels, the Jalisco Ministry of Health reported 646 patients hospitalized for COVID-19 in public hospitals, in private hospitals there are 95 patients with the disease.

According to the projections of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME, for its acronym in English) of the University of Washington, the maximum peak of cases would arrive around January 27, this five days.
