COVID: Mexico reports 51 thousand 368 new infections and 364 deaths

Mexico registered this Saturday 51 thousand 368 new infections of COVID-19, the second highest figure of the entire pandemic, for a total of four million 646 thousand 957 cases, in addition to 364 deaths to reach 303 thousand 085 total deathsreported the Ministry of Health.

In the last week, the country has reported its highest numbers of infections, with a historical record of 60,552 on Wednesday, in addition to daily deaths above 300.

Of all reported infections, there are 362 thousand 512 active cases, who have presented symptoms during the last 14 days and account for 7.4% of the total.

Furthermore, since the start of the pandemic Three million 662 thousand 458 people have recovered.

The average occupancy of general beds stands at 41% and that of intensive care at 24%.


The authorities also indicated that within the vaccination program 159.63 million doses have been administered, adding 716 thousand 751 during the last day.

Of the 126 million inhabitants, 83.27 million in the country have received at least one dose of the vaccine, with which 89% of the population aged 18 and over have received at least one dose. Meanwhile, 76.44 million have completed their vaccination schedule.
