San Diego man sues movie studio, claiming he was tricked into renting 2019 film ‘Yesterday’

Two movie fans, including one from San Diego, sued Universal Pictures on Friday, alleging in federal court that they were tricked into renting one 2019 film “Yesterday.

In the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, plaintiffs say they rented the film because actress Ana de Armas appeared in the trailer but then realized she wasn’t in the entire film.

Peter Michael Rosza, 44, of San Diego, and Conor Woulfe, 38, of Maryland, claim they each paid $3.99 to rent the musical romantic comedy on Amazon Prime, only to find out that de Armas removed it from the final version would.
