Pennsylvania crash prompts search for at least 3 escaped monkeys

A truck carrying about 100 monkeys was involved in an accident in Pennsylvania on Friday, state police said, as authorities searched for at least three of the monkeys, who appeared to have escaped.

The truck carrying the animals collided with a dump truck in Montour County in the afternoon, said Pennsylvania State Police Officer Andrea Pelachick Daily Article.

The truck was on its way to a lab, Pelachick said.

Authorities have asked local residents who may see the monkeys to call state police at 570-524-2662.

It was initially unclear whether people or animals were injured in the accident.
