Increasing test capacities – waiting for the PCR turbo

The capacities for PCR tests in the laboratories are running out. There are machines that can perform quick PCR tests on site. The downside: they’re expensive. Researchers from the Mainz Fraunhofer Institute for Microtechnology and Microsystems want to change that. But that can still take a while.
