Eventually, warmer temperatures are beginning to creep into western Wisconsin. The temperatures are already out of minus and there will be wind chill until this afternoon.
On Tuesday it will be partly cloudy and the maximum temperatures will rise into your top 20s. It will take most of the day to get there but it will be a big difference from the 1 high on Monday.
The clouds will increase overnight which will keep temperatures in the low 20s for Wednesday morning. A weak wave will also sweep through western Wisconsin, giving us a chance at light snow.
Up to one centimeter of snow is possible until Wednesday. The snowfall begins in the late morning and ends in the evening for the commute. A second round with light thunderstorms is also possible overnight.
Thunderstorms can even be possible well into Thursday, but little or no additional accumulation is expected.
A potential winter storm is approaching on Friday, which will bring heavy accumulations of snow with it. Currently there is still a discrepancy between where and when the heaviest snow comes in. We will continue to monitor this storm for you so check back later for more details.
