Russia says it anticipates “a deep discussion on key, fundamental problems of European security”.
The Russian Foreign Ministry expects a constructive dialogue on security in Europe within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council. This was said by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry Alexander Grushko, informed RIA Novosti on Tuesday January 11th.
“We go there with absolutely realistic expectations and hope that this will be a serious, in-depth conversation about central, fundamental problems of European security,” said Grushko.
According to the Russian official, the alliance did not talk about the difficulties for a long time, and Russia’s position was seen “as an expression of Russian distrust of the peaceful nature of NATO”.
“There is a time for everything and it is no exaggeration to say that there is a moment of truth in our relationship with the Alliance,” added Grushko.
Remember this sooner Ukraine turned to NATO before meeting Russia… During the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, the forthcoming Council with Russia and the Alliance Summit in Madrid were discussed.
