All private offices in Delhi will send employees to work-from-home under the new Covid rules to handle the increase in cases. The only exceptions are offices that are considered essential services.
So far, offices have been asked to work with half of their employees in the office and the rest at home.
The decision was made by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
Delhi restaurants closed yesterday, saying that only takeaways and home deliveries are allowed.
Delhi reported over 19,000 new cases yesterday, slightly fewer than 22,751 on Sunday.
Delhi minister Satyendar Jain said cases in the city would likely peak “in a day or two, definitely this week” and third wave infections will decline after that.
