COVID: Mexico adds 11,052 new cases of coronavirus

The Ministry of Health reported that Mexico registered this Monday 11,052 new infections of COVID-19 for a total of 4,136,440 cases, in addition to 78 deaths to reach 300 thousand 412 total deaths.

The little more than 11 thousand infections represent a significant reduction after on Saturday the country reached the record of cases in the entire pandemic by adding 30 thousand 671 in a single day.

Of the number of confirmed cases, there are 157 thousand 385 active, who have presented symptoms during the last 14 days and account for 3.6% of the total. What’s more, Since the beginning of the pandemic, three million 353 thousand 723 people have been recovered.

The average occupancy of general beds stands at 21% and the use of intensive therapy beds at 14%.


The authorities also indicated that within the vaccination program 152.05 million doses have been administered, adding 106 thousand 564 during the last day.

Of its 126 million inhabitants, 82.42 million in the country have at least one dose of the vaccine. Meanwhile, 74.1 million have completed their vaccination schedule.
