plane An-225 “Mriya” was damaged on landing at the airport of the Polish Ryashiv. About this state company Antonov reported on January 10th on his Facebook page.

“When the An-225 landed at Ryashiva Airport in Poland, the fastening screws for the flight-to-ground landing gear position sensor on the right main landing gear were cut off. The identified malfunction did not affect the safety of the Mriya’s flight and landing, the statement said.

The company does not do what exactly caused the damage. The aircraft is expected to be fully operational after replacing the screws.

“The plane will continue to operate a commercial flight,” said Antonov’s press service.

The An-225 Mriya was developed by the Kiev-based Antonov Design Bureau and is the largest transport aircraft in the world.
