San Francisco, December 23rd (IANS): After making some improvements to WhatsApp calling, WhatsApp owned by Meta is now reportedly working on a new interface for voice calling.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, a screenshot shows that WhatsApp is redesigning the interface for a future update to make it more compact and modern and to organize the available space.
The new redesign will look especially great when making group voice calls.
“Even if the screenshot was made with WhatsApp for iOS, WhatsApp is planning the same redesign for a future update of the WhatsApp beta for Android,” the report says.
Recently WhatsApp introduced a new “Voice Message Preview” feature for Indian users. The company said it will now allow users to preview their voice messages on WhatsApp before sending them.
In the meantime, the company recently rolled out a new privacy update to prevent unknown contacts from seeing a user’s last seen and online status.
With the feature, WhatsApp users can set their “Last Seen” status so that it is displayed by everyone, their contacts, with the exception of a blacklist of certain people.
This new feature has reportedly been rolled out for both Android and iOS-enabled devices.
