Channel 5 News apologized after mistakenly announcing Celebrity’s winner Master chef before the program aired on the BBC.

In the first Christmas special of the cooking competition show, comedian Judi Love crowned the festive champion and won one of two golden whisk trophies to be won this year.

As a result, the TV personality competed against reality star Joey Essex, Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Oti Mabuse, former soccer player Neil Ruddock and actor and singer Su Pollard to win the title.

Minutes before the program was due to air at 8 p.m. on BBC One, channel 5 Messages accidentally spoiled the announcement.

A statement Posted from Channel 5’s news account on Twitter said: “We apologize for mistakenly announcing the BBC1 Celebrity Masterchef winner before it was announced on the program tonight.

“Sorry to all of the fans of the show.”

Love, who was the fifth celebrity eliminated from Strictly that year, won the Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Cook-Off with a Caribbean Christmas dinner.

The 41-year-old served a rolled turkey breast filled with jerk seasoning, served with parsnip puree, carrots, filling, fried potatoes, crispy turkey skin and a cranberry and scotch bonnet chilli jam – which judge Gregg Wallace described as “nothing less than” Fantastic”.

After the two-hour and 15-minute challenge, the actor also presented a Jamaican Christmas cake with sorrel sauce and a stout rum punch ice cream, with Judge John Torode saying, “I love it.”

Before that, the stars were subjected to the notorious invention test, in which they had to create a dish from ingredients from a seasonal Advent calendar.
