TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Six other bodies of Indonesian migrants who died after a boat they boarded capsized off Johor. Malaysia, were identified by their relatives on Sunday, December 19.
The people identified were residents of Pekanbaru, Cilacap, Central Lombok, and East Lombok.
“With regard to the tragedy in the capsized boat in the waters of Johor, the Task Force of the Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) in Johor Bahru continues to coordinate efforts with the authorities in treating and identifying the victims,” said the KJRI representative from Johor Bahru, Andhita Purnama Putri. on December 19th
As of Sunday, authorities had confirmed 21 deaths and 13 survivors. The deceased are 15 men and 6 women.
