“Always the same” – Ex-Liverpool star Luis Suarez foams over Diego Simeone after the move from Atletico Madrid

Tensions between former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and his Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone are high.

Atletico could move outside the top 4 in Spain in 2022 after losing 2-1 to Sevilla on Saturday night.

Former Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic opened the gate with a bang before a Lucas Ocampos winner left Suarez and his teammates back in fifth place.

The Uruguayan, who was Player of the Year in La Liga last season, was substituted on after 57 minutes, making it easy for lip readers to understand what was being said of his Argentine coach.

Suarez is reported to have said, “A *******, always the same” as his number was called, and he was then seen on the bench looking angry.

The 34-year-old is on a barren run in front of goal after spending seven games without a goal for his club – his longest goalless time since joining Ajax in 2007.

Liverpool and Atletico were drawn in the same Champions League group this season.

But the Reds beat their Spanish opponent both at home and away – Suarez didn’t score in either game.

Atletico finished second in the group behind Liverpool and was dragged against their fierce rivals Manchester United in the round of 16.
