Flyers Canadiens game update | NHL.com – To the world

MONTREAL – In the late afternoon, amid the surge in COVID-19 cases in the area, the Montreal Canadiens organization received a request from public health officials in Quebec to play today’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers in an enclosed area with no fans present at the Bell Center. We accepted this request to keep our fans and fellow citizens safe throughout our community. An update on the status of Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins will be posted tomorrow.

We have been assured that from our games in January we will be able to revert to a partial capacity scenario and host fans again. More details will follow in the coming days and the portrait of this ever-evolving pandemic will become clearer. In the meantime, we want to continue encouraging everyone to get vaccinated, get a booster dose if possible, and be responsible at their social and family gatherings during the holidays. We hope that with rigor and a concerted effort from all of us, we can come together in 2022 in the near future.
