At the head of an acknowledgment for all the workers who have died during this period of fighting the coronavirus, the leader of Section 17 of the National Union of Health Workers, Marco Antonio Sánchez called on the union unit and to assume a work attitude that ” make us better public servants. “
In this framework, he argued that the work of workers in the psychiatric hospitals, “Juan N. Navarro” and “Fray Bernardino Álvarez” is essential.
The act of recognition of the workers who have lost their lives in these circumstances was carried out in the esplanade of the “Fray Bernardino Álvarez” hospital, under the health security protocols, where the employees who completed 50, 45 were also recognized. , 40, 35, 30, 25 and 20 years of service in favor and care of the mentally ill.
Dr. Marco Antonio Sánchez highlighted the importance of rescuing mentally ill people living on the streets and lacking all social protection; “Doing so would allow serving them properly and under the professionalism and training that Section 17 workers have” of the SNTSA, he indicated.
Among the remembered health personnel who died while caring for mental patients during the pandemic, are Elia Chávez, Virginia Ugalde, Margarita Fraustro, Cecilio Moreno, José García, María Elena Hernández, Amanda Aguilar, Cervando Arguellos, Luz María Porra, Edna Santos, Irma Basurto, Ruth Sánchez, Juan Manuel Espinoza, Ricardo Hernández and Elia Sánchez.
