Nancy Bertossa, Director of Communications at San Francisco Performances, announced her retirement after a 40-year career.

According to their officer LinkedIn page, Betrossa has been Director of Communications at San Francisco Performances since August 2014. Her previous experience included serving as Marketing Director for Stanford Live; Marketing Director for Alonzo King LINES Ballet; Marketing Director for ODC / Dance; and assistant director of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music. She has also worked with organizations such as Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley / Symphony Silicon Valley and Shakespeare Santa Cruz.

“I’m retiring after working in the arts for 40 years! My last day at SF Performances will be Friday December 17th, “Bertossa said in an official press release. “After graduating from UCLA’s Masters in Dance, I worked as a dancer, choreographer, and assistant to a recalcitrant group of talent agents from Beverly Hills. While I was in Tinsel Town I wrote a script, co-wrote a song that Patti LaBelle optionally chose, co-choreographed the dance sequence in the auditorium in the film Teen Wolf, and took part in a number of other artistic exploits that only 20 year olds have daring, to try. “

“I’ve enjoyed so many great people, performances, good times and of course stages and stages full of incredibly talented artists,” concluded Bertossa.
