Tesla’s Shanghai plant will deliver 4L vehicles in the first 11 months of 2021 – archyde

Shanghai, December 12th (IANS) Tesla’s plant in Shanghai had delivered over four Lakh vehicles by November 2021, the US electric car manufacturer said.

Deliveries to Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory totaled 413,283 vehicles in the first eleven months of this year, 242 percent more than in the same period last year.

On the Chinese mainland, the company says it has built more than 1,000 charging stations, 8,000 charging stations and 700 destination charging stations.

Tesla’s Chinese-made sedans have been exported to countries like Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands and Norway, Xinhua news agency reports.

The current annual production capacity of Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai has exceeded 450,000 vehicles, with the localization rate of parts hitting 90 percent, the company noted, adding that 92 percent of Tesla’s metallic materials for battery cells can be recycled at the Shanghai facility.

Tesla has now officially relocated its headquarters from Palo Alto, California to Austin, Texas.

The electric vehicle company filed an 8-K form with the Securities and Exchange Commission to relocate its corporate headquarters to its Gigafactory at 13101 Harold Green Road, Austin.

Tesla will continue to operate its electric vehicle plant in Fremont, California, and increase production there by 50 percent.
