Interview with the Vampire writer Anne Rice dies at the age of 80 – archyde

Anne Rice, widely known for her bestselling novel, Interview with the Vampire, has died at the age of 80.

he died of a stroke late on Saturday, said her son Christopher Rice on her Facebook and Twitter page.

“In her final hours, I sat next to her hospital bed in awe of her accomplishments and courage,” he wrote in a statement.

Rice’s 1976 book Interview With The Vampire was later converted into a film starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt and released in 1994. It is also expected to feature in a TV series on AMC and AMC + in 2022.

Rice is slated to be buried in a private ceremony in a family mausoleum in New Orleans on an undisclosed date, her son said in a statement.

There will be a public celebration of her life next year.
