Victims demand 500 euros for data breach GGD: criminals sold data – Nach Welt

For people whose personal data has been proven to have been stolen, the foundation is demanding compensation of 1,500 euros. The case is against the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Sport. She has not yet responded to the foundation’s intention.

At the beginning of the year, RTL Nieuws announced that GGD call center employees were abusing their access. The systems contained the private information of more than 6.5 million Dutch people. This information was also frequently downloaded by employees and sold to criminals online.

In terms of scale, the GGD data breach is the largest the Netherlands has ever experienced.
