A video published by NASA shows the moment when the phenomenon occurs in the western region of the South Pole, it was a few minutes of complete darkness.
A solar eclipse occurs when the sun, moon, and earth are on the exact same line.
Due to the geographic location, the only place where the phenomenon occurs fully is in Antarctica.
Some parts of South Africa, Chile, New Zealand and Australia can still see the solar eclipse, but only partially.
