Influenza Vaccine: Guadalajara Starts Mass Campaign; check where to get vaccinated


The City Council of Guadalajara started this Friday a massive vaccination campaign against seasonal influenza through a module in the portals of the Municipal Palace.

“(Today) we started with a promoted campaign, and I take this opportunity to thank Councilor Mariana Fernández Ramírez; we started with the elements of the Police, Civil Protection and Firefighters and we have extended this vaccination campaign against influenza now towards the general population, here in the portals of the Municipal Presidency of Guadalajara! “, said Mayor Pablo Lemus according to a statement.

The campaign against influenza is aimed at all people who wish to be vaccinated, however, a special call to go to the vulnerable population such as older adults, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases and children 6 months to 5 years.

Where and at what times will flu vaccines be given?

  • ISSSTE Jalisco personnel will carry out the application of vaccines against influenza, free of charge, in the vaccination module it will be operating permanently on the outskirts of the Municipal Palace of Guadalajara (Hidalgo avenue, downtown area)
  • Schedule: From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, from December 3, 2021 to March 2022

Where to get vaccinated against influenza in Jalisco?

A month ago, the influenza vaccination campaign for the winter season 2021-2022 started in Mexico and Jalisco.

The application of the influenza vaccine is carried out in the Health sector units of the 125 municipalities of the state, including the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (ZMG) and regardless of the entitlements that are held.
