A man is charged in court with the murder of a 65-year-old woman in her South Wales home.
Luke Deeley, without a permanent address, was brought before her Honorary Magistrate Tracey Lloyd-Clarke at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday.
The 25-year-old is charged with the murder of June Fox-Roberts, who was found dead by police on her property on St. Anne’s Drive in the village of Llantwit Fardre.
Deeley was wearing a yellow and blue shirt and was videolinking from another room in the courthouse to confirm his name, age, and address.
He asked for a Welsh interpreter for the hearing.
Prosecutor Gareth James said police and investigators at the scene were still collecting evidence from Ms. Fox-Roberts’ home.
The hearing was adjourned to January 14th and a preliminary hearing was set for May 9th.
Deeley was taken into custody.
