The men’s clubs will be the focus of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation Champions League on Monday (November 29) at the Aquamarine Recreational Center.
Seven teams are expected to do their utmost to earn the honor of being the first ever men’s champions to boast of the country’s first ever Champions League, a historic achievement made by F2 Logistics in Thursday’s women’s competition.
The winner of the men’s tournament will join the Cargo Movers in May next year as the country’s representative at the Asian men’s and women’s volleyball championships.
Go For Gold, Basilan Steel and VNS are bundled in Pool A, while Pool B consists of Global Remit, Sabong International Spikers, MRT-Negros and Team Dasma.
Go for Gold-Air Force and VNS will open hostilities at 10 a.m., followed by the duel between MRT-Negros and Sabong International Spikers at 1:30 p.m.
Global Remit and Team Dasma limit a schedule of three games to 4:00 p.m.
Basilan Steel Spikers Amin-Anak Mindanao said goodbye on opening day and will play Go for Gold on Tuesday.
In the preliminary round, the teams are played in a round robin preliminary round tournament, with the two best teams in each pool moving into the semi-finals.
