HAMDEN, Conn. -Graduate jada lucas scored a team-high 14 points when the Hawks fell to Quinnipiac, 113-64. graduate Abby Streeter while junior 13 points added Carmen villalobos rounded off the double-digit scorers from Hartford with 11 points. The Hawks drop to 0-6 in the young season while the Bobcats improve to 3-3.
QUINNIPIAC 113, HARTFORD 64
Quinnipiac opened the game on a 10-2 run to take advantage of the early game. The Hawks would begin to fight back and reduce the deficit to four after Streeter and the freshman gave three leads in a row Najla Cecunjaninbut the Bobcats would use a 6-0 run to regain a 21-10 lead. Quinnipiac would maintain his momentum in the second quarter and go into halftime at 58:25.
Lucas went up in flames early in the second half and scored eight points to start the third. However, the Bobcats extended their lead to 39 and went into the fourth quarter with 87:45. The deficit proved too much for the Hawks as they fell 113-64.
