The pre-Thanksgiving tradition helps the area’s volleyball teams hone their skills – archyde

WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – The high school winter sports season will begin in a few days.

One of those sports, volleyball. A group of Frontier League teams met on Wednesday.

It has become a right the day before Thanksgiving, despite taking a hiatus last year due to COVID.

It’s the multi-team scrimmage at Watertown High School.

Matchups started at 8am with Watertown trainer Robin Boomhower, who again hosted the event.

Teams from Lowville, Beaver River, Thousand Islands, General Brown, Indian River and hosts Watertown participated.

For the coaches it was a chance to see their teams in real game situations against different opponents.

Everything starts right for these teams next week.
