Man arrested after Garda confiscated tablets worth 300,000 euros in the city center – archyde

A 37-year-old man was arrested after officials seized a whopping € 288,000 worth of MDMA in Dublin city center today.

4 pounds of ecstasy pills were caught during the stab, which was a joint action by the Tax Office, the Drugs and Organized Crime Bureau, and the DMR North Central Divisional Divisional Drugs Unit.

The man was arrested at the scene and is located on Garda Station Store Street.

A Garda spokesman said the investigation is ongoing.

A spokesman for the tax office said those who have information about the drug smuggling can contact their confidential management.

They said, “This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigation into organized criminal groups and the import, sale and delivery of illegal drugs.

“If companies or the public have information about drug smuggling, they can contact the Inland Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295.”
