Taylor Swift releases new orchestral version of “Christmas Tree Farm” – Post World

Taylor Swift has reinvented her holiday anthem, “Christmas tree farm”, with an ‘Old Timey Version’ released this week exclusively on Amazon Music.

The track was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London with a new arrangement supported by a 70-piece orchestra with strings, horns and sleigh bells.

“This new version is amazing because it feels like it’s a more relaxed Christmas vibe with all your shopping and relaxing by the fire,” Swift said in a behind-the-scenes clip. “It’s definitely a little more of that old-school Christmas carol feel.”

Swift first released Christmas Tree Farm in 2019, along with a nostalgic music video that included home video footage recorded by her parents during the vacation.

The track was her first original Christmas music since she released the Christmas EP Die Taylor Swift Holiday Collection in October 2007.

On twitter, Swift celebrated the news with a “FERAL SCREECH” and then thanked the studio team for helping her create the expanded version of “All Too Well” and giving her fans all the glory for its success.

Earlier this month Swift stormed into # 1 featured on the Billboard 200 album chart as of November 27th Rot (Taylors Version), her re-recording of her 2012 album, rot, which topped the list for seven weeks in 2012-13.

The new 30-track release, which adds a host of previously unheard “From the Vault” songs, gives Swift a milestone at number 10 on the charts, making her only the second woman with 10 or more no-year history. Barbra Streisand has the most number 1 women with 11.

Rot (Taylors Version) earned 605,000 equivalent album units in the US for the week ending November 18, according to MRC Data. This is the second busiest week of the year and just follows the debut frame of Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, who sold 613,000 units in the week ended September 9. Rot (Taylors Version) also kicks off the best week of the year in terms of traditional album sales: 369,000.
