Earlier this week, Rose and Giovanni melted hearts This morning as they pondered the ramifications of Rose – who is deaf – entering the BBC dance competition.
Rose told presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, “It’s society that makes it difficult to be deaf …
“My mother – when she found out I was deaf, she felt so alone. She felt that she had no idea about the deaf culture and the deaf community.
“It is society that makes it difficult to be deaf…. There is nothing wrong with being deaf, I have no problem with it. “
Italian dancer Giovanni, 31, added that Rose is “100% the best dance partner” on the show.
He continued, “I’m a professional dancer, I’ve been doing this for 23 years.
“Even 10 seconds silence were so hard because you think in those 10 seconds over his steps must and above have to think to keep the clock – and I thought, ‘Now I understand what she’s going through.'”
