COVID-19: Mexico adds 326 deaths and 3,698 new cases

The Ministry of Health reported this Tuesday 326 new deaths from COVID-19 for a total of 292,850 confirmed, in addition to others three thousand 698 cases to reach three million 867 thousand 976 detected.

The health authorities recognize that, based on the death certificates, the pandemic would be around 440 thousand deaths in the country and estimate that Mexico actually accumulates 4 million 089 thousand 748 infections.

Of this number, 19,018 are active cases, which have presented symptoms during the last 14 days and account for 0.7% of the total. In addition, since the beginning of the pandemic, three million 229 thousand 463 people have been recovered.

The average occupancy of general beds in Mexican hospitals remains at 17%, and the use of intensive care beds at 13%.


The authorities also indicated that the vaccination program, which includes all those over 18 years of age, accumulates more than 131.19 million doses applied, adding 116,552 during the last day.

So far, 75.9 million people have at least one dose and almost 64.39 million have completed the vaccination schedule; that is, just over half of its 126 million inhabitants.
