In delivery number 46 to the State of Jalisco, the Entity received 200 thousand 070 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 from labs PfizerBioNTech, The Jalisco Health Secretariat reported tonight.

The arrival of these biologicals to our entity, he said, will be destined for the adolescent population as established by federal guidelines: people between 12 and 14 years old with some condition of vulnerability and people between 15 and 17 years old in general.

The Secretary of Health in Jalisco, Fernando Petersen Aranguren, supervised the delivery of this shipment and announced that vaccination schedules will also be completed, applying the second dose to those who correspond.

In the case of adolescents who wish to receive the coronavirus vaccine, he recalled, they must register on the federal page mivacuna.salud.gob.mx and, once the state platform opens vacunacion.jalisco.gob.mx, sign up for an appointment.

For this, he added, the interested parties must remain attentive to the information that will be released through the official channels of the Government of Jalisco and the Ministry of Health (SSJ) “where a new call will soon be opened.”

Vaccination of young people between 15 and 17 years begins this Tuesday

The Jalisco Health Secretariat also reported that it will be this Tuesday when it will begin to immunize, with the first dose, adolescents between 15 and 17 years old who registered last Friday to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

They will be able to receive their corresponding dose according to the time of their appointment in 39 hospitals in the interior of the state and the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (AMG).

On the other hand, Petersen Aranguren indicated that Moderna Pharma’s vaccine is available for first doses for adults 18 years of age and older. “In Jalisco we have already applied more than seven million doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 and today I want to invite again those who have not been vaccinated, to attend our calls. These days will be the last to apply the first dose to people of legal age ”.

The secretary also recalled that it is very important that as many of the Jalisco population as possible be protected to avoid serious complications and deaths from COVID-19, and thus stop the mutation of the virus that causes this infection.

“In this way and following the other prevention measures, we are going to close the door of our home to the coronavirus and we will be able to move forward in this cold season,” he urged.
