Not a total kockdown on Srefidensi, but a safety zone around Independence Square – Dagblad Suriname – nach Welt

The full lockdown in connection with national holidays, in effect since May, expires on November 25th. The partial lock, the curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., remains in force. This was announced on Monday morning during a specially convened press conference to celebrate 46 years of political independence as part of Covid measures.

A security zone will be set up around Independence Square on November 24th. Only people who have to be functionally present are welcome as an audience. You must be able to show a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test. This also applies to all members who take part in the narrowness and the parade.

The Srefidensi celebrations working group is still in consultation with the catering industry.
