Instagram introduces a new “Rage Shake” feature to report problems.
The photo sharing app has introduced a new feature that allows users to shake their phone to report a problem with the app, known as the “Rage Shake” feature.
The new feature was announced by Instagram boss Adam Mosseri in a feature video published on Twitter.
In the clip he said, “You ever use Instagram and it didn’t work the way it should? Maybe stories weren’t loading, maybe the sound wasn’t working, maybe you just couldn’t upload a photo and it just really fucked you up, really just pissed you off? Now you can literally shake the phone and a little option will appear that you can use to report a problem. “
Once a user shakes their phone and hits the report a problem option, they can explain what happened to the app and report the problem.
Adam says this will help the company prioritize bugs and learn other things that need to be fixed in the app.
Currently, the feature is only available in the US for iOS and Android users.
In the same update, the social media giant also introduced the ability to delete individual items from a carousel post with at least three pictures or videos.
However, users cannot add items to the carousel, replace one item with another, or reorder items on the carousel.
