Robinsons Movieworld has assured that returning moviegoers will have reinforced security measures to ensure a carefree movie theater experience for the public.
This is because many theaters reopened after the government eased COVID-19 restrictions.
Robinsons Movieworld has teamed up with UV Care, an American brand registered with the US Food and Drugs Administration and the US Environmental Protection Agency, to strengthen safety measures.
The company hopes the UV-C sterilization technology brand will provide moviegoers with fearlessness when they walk into a Robinsons theater.
They also use UV Care air purifiers that are equipped with H13 medical HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Absorbing) filters that remove particles, including droplets, that viruses can carry in the air.
“We look forward to welcoming cinema-goers back to our cinemas on November 24th. We have taken additional measures to ensure that our customers can enter the Robinsons Theaters with confidence and not have to worry about their safety, ”said Arlene Magtibay, Senior Vice President and Business Unit General Manager, Robinsons Malls.
Contact and cashless transactions are also the preferred way of buying tickets, be it at the gates or via online channels.
Moviegoers must show their COVID-19 vaccination card before purchasing tickets, while contact tracking forms are provided via a QR code.
The control of body temperature before entering the cinema is still monitored and hand disinfectants are also available at each entrance.
In the meantime, seats are also socially distanced for guests from the same household. For health and safety reasons, food and drinks are not allowed in the cinemas. A strict no-eat or no-snacking rule is imposed.
Robinsons Movieworld will also strictly enforce the protocols mandated by the IATF and the Philippines’ theatrical exhibitors.
Face masks must be worn in the theater, while face shields can be temporarily removed during the performance time.
The cinema halls are scrubbed clean, disinfected and disinfected every day and between shows. The movie schedules will be staggered to reduce the crowd in the lobby and queue areas, which will also give staff plenty of time to thoroughly clean the cinemas.
An announcement before the show reminds the audience of cough and sneeze etiquette, proper waste disposal, and other healthy practices. Additionally, there is a designated health and safety officer on every investigation to ensure that government-imposed guidelines are strictly followed.
