Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out last night to attend the Royal Variety performance in support of the Royal Variety Charity, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Queen’s patronage. The organization supports entertainers, most of them senior citizens.
Kate wore one of her favorite designers – a green glitter dress by Jenny Packham that is a repetition of a trip to Pakistan in 2019. It’s a beautiful color on her and it goes with the time of year. Sparkling green, very vacation. Just not Mariah Carey’s vacation. Green is almost never a Mimi Christmas color. I mean, of course there is some green nearby, but our Mimi doesn’t know any green. It’s red, gold or silver and white for Mimi for Christmas. No green.
Back to Kate and her looks, good looks overall, but as always, for me, at least when it comes to Kate, it’s the hair. I love the side sweep on her, but can we brush out the waves ?! They look like they were left hanging straight from the iron, in the precisely cut pieces that come off the iron. Hair often does this with heat. It prefers to stay divided into its warming sections – so you wait for it to cool down and then brush or stroke as much as possible with your fingers to achieve this separation. Most of the hair artists I know are all over this shit because wave clumping has a hairstyle, and it still isn’t any of those styles that are back on trend. Kate’s wave clumps are very ’80s which, with her various off-trend updos, is often something of a hair vibe. I’m not saying she has to take it straight off the runway, but it would be great if her hair didn’t hang in a bygone era.
In other news from Will and Kate, Newsweek get in touch today that royal pundits weighed Jason Knauf, who supplied the Mail on Sunday with emails and messages supporting her appeal in the lawsuit with Meghan Markle. Jason has worked closely with the Cambridges for years and as I wrote in my post last week about Jason’s “evidence” and Meghan’s testimony, with NDAs and all kinds of privacy requirements, it’s worth noting how unlikely Jason would have been unscrupulous in delivering all of his correspondence to the Mail. Basically, these experts say Jason would have surely got a signature from Will and Kate to do what he did, which, to put it bluntly, helps a TABLOID against Will and Kate’s brother and sister-in-law. There was no question that it would have turned out that way. But just a reminder of the kind of shit Will and Kate seem to support.
