New Delhi: The Indian badminton star Prakash Padukone receives the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Badminton World Federation (BWF) this year.

Padukone, the former world number 1 and the first medalist at the Indian World Cup, has contributed immensely to the game. In 2018 he was also awarded the BAI’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

For the Meritorious Service Award, the BWF Council named Devender Singh, President of the Haryana Badminton Association, SA Shetty, General Secretary of the Maharashtra Badminton Association, Dr.

Alaknanda Ashok, President of the Uttarakhand Badminton Association, receives the Women & Gender Equity Award. She has been associated with the badminton administration for many years.
